Whenever I hand something off to an agent I'm choosing to let go of (some) control, and there is always a tradeoff.
Most of the time AI accelerates my work, but it also puts space between me and the doing. With any craft, there is often an intimacy with the work that creates familiarity. The friction shapes the way I think, exercises certain parts of my mind, and provides the substrate for well-grounded ideas.
I'm trying to be open to finding opportunities to automate away the minutia and do more meaningful work, without losing touch with 'ground truth'. It takes a lot of trust and willingness to get it wrong.
